The Pantheon of Deities in Juscor
The belief in deities in the lands of Juscor differs from kingdom to kingdom and race to race. Juscor religion is based off elemental forces that serve as the deity’s domain. The deity then has characteristics that it is known to exhibit. This is a list and a brief explanation of the Deity and who follows them.
Athika
The Sky Goddess, Athika is the figurehead deity of Blackdawn Kingdom. Her qualities are Love, Compassion, and Charity. Her followers value caring and assisting those in need. The church heads are women as are most of the voices of Athika (priestess). Followers are very open with their loving and helping beliefs, and once a year they celebrate the Loving Night, a tradition that amplifies the spirit of love and compassion. Public display of affection, music, and feast fill out the day which turn into lewd parties and orgies in the night for the more free spirited of the celebrators.
Mortomal
The Moon god Mortomal, is the god of Knowledge and Exploration. Mortomal followers are usually scholarly types or explorers who seek out the world’s mysteries. Mortomal has a strong presence in all kingdoms and are generally left alone to their studies and explorations. A secret group, Haven of the Owl, has been created in his name and the members meet in private, some of the most genius of ideas and inventions have come from these private meetings, that only truly gifted are allowed to attend.
Sylar
Sylar is the Sun God, known for Life, Creation, and Nature. Sylar is the main deity of Kingdom of Strom, but has a strong following in all lands. Everyone who pays homage to a deity will also pay homage to Sylar as he is known as the father of all creation. The House of Sylar has more members then any of sect, and are the most easy going of sects, encouraging followers to adopt a lesser deity that aligns with their true self so that happiness can be created within them. The Sun Crest, is a group that fights in Sylar’s name, they are against any who thrive on destruction of any of Sylar’s creations.
Malornaut
The God of Storms, Malornaut is the god of war, chaos, and destruction. Most of the northern tribes follow this deity with strong devotion. Most warriors do not put much stock into gods, but most will still wear a pendent of Malornaut in good faith, hoping the god will bring them power and victory. There are different sects of Malornaut, some chaotic and evil, others righteous and proud. The most known fanatic group, Malor’s Fist, are a group of religious mercenaries bent on destruction and happily battle the Sun Crest of Sylar. They believe Malornaut rules all, and often capture and sacrifice members of sects to Malornaut in strange rituals. Not all of Malorauts followers believe in this, and many members of the Church have dedicated their life to end Malor’s Fist.
Rothgar
The God of the Mountain, Rothgar is the god of money, steel, and hardiness. Rothgar has a strong following with dwarves, bankers, merchants, and smiths. Anyone who is interested in making money usually prays to Rothgar. The Golden Ring, is a Rothgar based organization that is full of the richest beings in the land. It is rumored that they control the money market and influences prices.
Driast
The God of the Sea, Driast is the god of Chaos, Celebrations, and Creativity. The followers of Driast are free spirits who enjoy a good time and like to party. There is also a sect of artist, signers, and writers who follow Driast for his inspirations and creativity. The main Bard’s College is named after this god, Driast School of the Arts, which is built along the coast in the Blackdawn Kingdom. Seafearers often pay homage to him as well, hoping for his good will upon his domain of the sea.
Wollom
The God of the Forest, Wollom is a peaceful god of trees and wildlife. All forest dwelling or loving people pay homage to this god, a sect that stays out of cities. Followers claim they speak to their god through the trees and can hear his response there. Most followers are hermits, elven, gnomes, and other races that are at odds with the Human race. Wollom is depicted as a huge humanoid tree.

Andul is God of the Desert, the god representing death, decay, and purgatory. Andul’s followers believe that the dead all go to Andul’s domain, forever stuck in a plain of purgatory walking endless deserts. Andul followers are shunned by most other sects, they all believing that they will either move on to Sylar’s plain or to other domains of their chosen gods. Andul’s cultist are usually necromancers or crazed fanatics preaching of death and that the world will become one huge desert.
