I notice you guys did'nt really have a place to blather. I was curious if any of you guys had a preferred place to find images to use for your characters. I know I had a terrible time trying to find one that made me happy on google.

This has been bothering me for a little bit, graal, but, in your picture... Is the top of the helmet where that sharp angle is, or does the helmet continue off-camera via that very faint curve following the sharp angle?

Can a mimic hold off being sticky for the sake of selling the trap?

I believe so. In any case, the DM has complete reign over monster powers, so if he wanted to he could make it that way if it wasn't already.
Source: personal DMing habits. If I want to change something for what I think would be better, i just do and the players are none the wiser.

I keep a small compendium of monsters I made up for my games lol. On a side note, I had a buddy who did nothing but bash 5e (hes a pathfinder fan..or was) finally try it out over the weekend. Its funny to hear him sing its praises now. He used to say things like "It looks really dumbed down, alot of samey-ness in the characters" and now hes praising how you can fulfill any concept with it lol

I have a similar friend but he's a 3.5 person. Constantly bashes 5e, said it has no skill system, has no customization for characters, that characters are unkillable, and all sorts of other nonsense. I've dissuaded him of those things, but he still says "I don't need to learn 5e when I'm already comfortable with 3.5 and can do everything I need in it". I've stopped trying to convert him since we would get into heated arguments over it (because frankly, 5e is so far the best edition, I say this as a person that played 2e, 3.5, and 4e). 2e definitely has its own sort of charm, but 5e is the best to DM because you can teach anyone to play in 30ish minutes. Sometimes 3.5 fans are quite dense when it comes to doing things differently though. Now I can't play 5e with him because he just doesn't want to for the silliest reasons. *SIGH*

I have a friend who feels that very way with pathfinder. The funniest part is, I showed him that there are actually more character options, more rp opportunities and its both easier to play and DM. He read over the material and all he had to say was "Im a traditional Simulationist. I like crunching numbers with a 'meta win' mentality" and we kinda dropped the subject from there. Its sad tho, because I would love to host games for him like I did in the past. Alot of people are still a little wounded over 4th edition and see 5th as just 4th 2.0

See, but that's kind of understandable from his point of view-- 5e doesn't have the crunchiness he enjoys. Talk to him about GURPS, he'd go crazy over it.
My friend LOVES handwaving rules that get in the way, and implements advantage/disadvantage all the time in his 3.5 game! I told him this and he says "no I don't". He's basically already playing 5e through jerry-rigging 3.5, and refuses to admit it. It's frustrating beyond comprehension, since I know if he played 5e even once he'd love it.

Hate to do this again to you guys, but I can't make it this Thursday-- going a little off the grid for 3 days. With my luck, there's a chance I might come back early enough for the session with tales of terrible mishaps, or I might report back in a week or two from the hospital; who knows what the Ruinous Powers have in store for me, or anyone. If everything goes smoothly I'll be back online by Friday.
Olek can be recovering from his wounds, nursing a KILLER hangover, or still even be carousing when you guys have the session-- he's that kind of guy. Heck, Corey, if you feel like it you can use the carousing rules (page 128, Dungeon Master's Guide), subtract 4 gold from Olek's pockets for the hedonistic lifestyle he's leading, and roll on that nifty table-- He's the kind of guy that all the things on the table might happen to.
Cheers!

Okay man, I don't have the next quest made up anyhow, where as this night will just be tying up lose ends.
