So let me start this out by saying thank you to everyone who has posted an application so far. I was totally caught off guard by the amount that was posted. Interest in my other text based games never grew as quickly as this and now I have some tough decisions to make. I believe we have 13 people who've applied so far, and I'm not one to reject people who want to play but I have to figure out something..
To keep everyone in the loop, I have a couple of decisions I could make. To those who've played in IRC or other chat based type of games, you know there that is a free for all feel, those who log in generally get to play in either a passive non-GM run game or a scheduled event. A dream I had for this game was to create something like the chat rooms of the past, creating an environment where anyone could log in and have a chance to role play on any given night. Not every night would be a GM ran quest, but rather people could sit in the tavern or other setting and mingle with other characters and create their own stories with out the supervision of a GM.
The only concern with this would be people trying to compete for the Sunday night game. I can only accept 6 people, and if I allowed an open door type policy then people would still have to apply for that game on that night. To get around this issue, I would allowed players in this game to apply for a CO-GM spot. These CO-GM's could run quest and other story arcs on different nights to give everyone a chance to play. These quest would be pre-approved by me and would still require everyone who was interested to apply.
The other option I have is just to accept six of you, and maybe two backups. I don't want to do this, but these are the decisions I have at the moment.
I've also received a lot of questions about religions and the setting of the game. The game takes place in a homebrewed world of Juscor, that I'll elaborate more soon. To make things easier, I'll just keep the deities in the book so that everyone has an easy central source.
