I've talked to some of you regulars about the potential of a new game. Well, I've been working on a new website and a new map to support the new game we will be playing. The website isn't completely finished, but to give you an idea of the plot and some of the new things, you can check it out here: World of Justicor. Be sure to read the new plot information to get an idea for your new characters. Our new game is scheduled to start on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7:00 pm eastern time. Please have your character sheets finished in the roll20 forum by then (I have provided you with journal entries for your characters). Characters will start at level one and follow traditional rules set forth in the book. 27 point buy. Variant rules are fine. Make sure you read the races page on the website, because there will be some races that you won't be able to play without good reason.
If you have any questions about the plot or locations, please ask here. Tec, I need to know if you will be playing with us still.

Re; Stories of Blackdawn
I've got to get east before I end up mounted above somebody's mantle. With the help of a sympathetic human in Swamptown, I've planned to be put in a crate and shipped east--a la Tyrion across The Narrow Sea. Being sent to Weston is just so...ordinary, but you too (Cuetlachtli, Lloyd or Adam) could be the proud owner of a neat gnome newly arrived from the west. He'd be yours to do with as you please. Absolutely free! You are not bound to accept future orders.
Any thoughts? I'm fleshing out a gnome for Stories of Blackdawn. He won't be versed in the martial arts. Slavery would be a step up from what he left behind, so he'll pretty much do anything. Can you think of any reason one of you might receive such a thing? I'm more than willing to lie about why one would receive me. Any takers/keepers?

I'm more than happy with the character concept, I just don't know how Olek would justify owning a gnome slave. Olek became a criminal specifically because he could enjoy the freedom of doing whatever he wished with people he liked, and slavery wouldn't be something that would sit well with him.
That said, I can see a rather humorous relationship forming between an eager servant and reluctant master, though it is a bit iffy if said servant is versed in the magical arts.
Cheers!

You certainly didn't expect that crate to arrive, nor did you expect to find what was inside, but the little guy looked harmless enough, obviously glad to get out of the box, and he gave you gold, along with a letter, sealed of course. It was from Rolouf, an uncle you never you knew you had, twice removed on your father's side. He had traveled west in his youth in search of adventure, now on his deathbed, he bequeaths to you (MOG), who will serve you faithfully into the twilight of your years, as he did him...attending to your every need, recording a history of your heroic deeds, protecting you from harm that may befall you...
(Don't get hung up on the term "slavery", it was just one of the accepted roles for gnomes in the east. And if you save this letter, you'll probably eventually notice that the script is remarkably similar to MOG's.)

You can be very persuasive. Sure, why not?

Just looked at Olek's sheet...Lloyd. And you were concerned about me being "versed in the magical arts"! My plan was to find a responsible/respectable patron. Should have used a better soothsayer.

Hey, hey. Olek is a responsible person. He kept his crew clothed, fed, and healthy while they were engaging in toll-collection!

So I changed the old sheets to some new ones, because the old ones were all screwy. To those who finished already will have to go back and put in your equipment, skills, and other things again. I'm sorry, but this will be better in the long run.

Master Corey,
I've made up a few things about the west while developing my background on your Character Creation page: including dwindling forests/habitat depletion in Sarolyn, a vicious "Huntsman" who massacres entire gnomish clans, rock gnomes in the mountains, a sympathetic dwarf, and a port in Rine. Let me know if any of this is out of sync, and I'll change it.
Subserviently Yours,
Jaz

How is everyone coming on their sheets in Roll20? I have most of the battlemaps drawn out and story wrote up for our first encounter. Should be an entertaining game.

I'm curious about the Character Sheets we're using. Roll20 just launched the new OGL compatible sheets, and I definitely think they are worth trying out--the ability to drag/drop spells and equipment (and monsters!) out of the compendium is worth hours of time. The Shaped Sheet is a mess and will take 10 years for newbie players to fill out. The rolls on it are often broken, and we have to type out all our spells.
I'd love to know what preferences people have about that.

I didn't know about those. That sounds pretty useful.

The new sheet just went live the other day. Here is a link to the announcement from Roll20. There's a video that outlines the features. The sheet is not perfect, but it has an incredible number of advantages already. It is by far the simplest to use, and the quick-you-can't-screw-it-up-fill-ins save tons of time and mean the GM has less sheet-review to do. For example... you select your class via dropdown, and it calculates all the appropriate bonuses and abilities sheet-wide. I set up a test campaign if you want to check it out. I set up a few character sheets with tokens. You can use this link to join the test campaign.

I've got my character sheet fully filled in (to the best of my knowledge, I seem to always find something I forgot to enter when I actually start playing though)
