After some down time playing sabacc and losing to a few cantina-goers, I conversed with a particularly bulbous humanoid after seeing two others point at me after talking to him. When I asked if he was interested in playing, he refused but instead offered to trade information. He told me he dealt in information, which, unbeknownst to him, told me that he had just been sold some information regarding myself. Assuming the worst, especially after seeing that Rodian skulk away after our meeting with Reom, I went to Lilith with my concerns. As it happened, she discovered a beacon that was to be planted on The Wyvern. Fortunately, it never got to that and she said it will be possible to use to extend the range of our sensors; a very practical use of salvaged material.
I transferred some credits to her to buy whatever materials she needed, stating "An underequipped mechanic is not one I want to have", which seemed to satisfy her before she asked any questions. She then bought a comm jammer and space suit, a most pragmatic complement of things to buy, especially considering her organic nature, and the recovered beacon. I decided it would be pragmatic to buy us each a blaster pistol, considering we were delving into a profession well-known to be dangerous.
We received a transmission from a female name Shira, who brought Reom's 3PO droid to the station for us to claim. Several minutes later, we were made to know that a raid took place and that the droid was supposed to already be in our custody; seeing as he was not, it was up to us to recover it. We set forth, and Lilith hacked into the surveillance system aboard the Wheel, and found that the 3PO droid was being taken by a band of Rodians. We had to stop them, so we engaged them in combat.
This was approximately when I took a blaster bolt directly to my torso section, and the coolant within started leaking onto circuits my master had neglected to isolate, as it happens (the inept fool). Thankfully, due to the numerous optical enhancements and my integrated sensor array, I was able to avoid most obstacles in the way to maintain a pursuit. This seemed to unnerve them enough to abandon the 3PO droid, and so the day was a success. I suspect Master Reom will be rather happy with our dedication, assuming he lived through the raid.
